Blu-Ray Empty Blu-Ray

I'm probably thinking about getting a Blu-ray External Drive for my Laptop since I have enough Christmas money for one, and my Laptops HD, and Blu-ray external drives are much cheaper than blu-ray players, and I'd probably have to buy an HD TV to get one a player and cheapest both together sounds like about over $800! So if I get a Blu-Ray External Drive cheers !

Yea I heard 2 sides to Blu-ray.

1.) It was pretty cool
2.) It's a big waste of money and not worth it

I'd prefer my working desktop, thank you. I don't want to run the risk of ruining it by inserting a drive.

Plus, you have to have the right monitor on your PC that supports Blu-Ray, or like Clubsummer said, you just blew 100 bucks on a drive that has no purpose whatsoever.
